Omega 425.35.34.20.51.001 wrist watches news:
Along with the vintage-inspired worldtimer, Tissot released an update of their popular Powermatic line at this year's Basel World. The new Powermatic 80 Chronometer is an extremely straightforward watch with an 80 hour power reserve and chronometer certified movement, giving you a lot of timekeeping power for your money. The handsome package is an added bonus and here's a hands-on look at this high-value watch from Tissot. 2 OF 10 80 Hour Power Reserve and COSC Chronometer Certification COSC-certification is nothing new for Tissot. A few months ago we gave you an in-depth review of their Le Locle Chronometre, winner of the 2012 Concours International de Chronometrie timing competition (spoiler alert, we liked it). The movement inside this Powermatic 80 Chronometer is a COSC-certified ETA C07.111, which is essentially an ETA 2824 with a beefed up 80-hour power reserve, lower friction materials, and a balance beating at 3Hz instead of 4Hz. Just coming back from playing around ( again ) with TagHeuer Aquatimer Chronotimer, Planet Ocean SS, and the Oris Diver Chrono at the local ADs These three at least have been on my radar since last yearI really appreciate if anybody can give me some opinion about above selections , ruling out : reselling value & quartz vs auto parameters...I understand as this is Oris forum, but im trying post this thread other forum as well as to get better understanding overallmany thanks
HI I am considering a 15400. Love the watch. I have heard through these forums from owners that the date function does not turn over at/near midnight. I am wondering why this is the case? Many simple eta watches execute this flawlessly. Why on a watch of this level, with an in house movement not have this capability?
Hi guys! I just got a patek wooden watch loupe and looking through it makes me appreciate pateks craftmanship and detail that they put into thier movements.I just though how do you properly use one? Do you look through the wider opening or the slimmer one(metal part)? I tried both and for me the magnification seems the same? Any thoughts? Sorry for the nebie question just want to learn and do it properly. Thank you.
I was actually in the hunt for the 352 but this beauty popped up with b&p at an irresistible price and i snagged it.Its got a couple of scratches but for a vintage homage i think it suits beautifully. The movement as checked by my watchmaker's timeographer is running at +2 secs a dayCheers
