Omega 232.30.46.51.01.003 wrist watches news:
Casio doesn't always see their watches like you see their watches. Casio internally, is an interesting mixture between the techie watch engineers and fashion folk trying to match a Casio timepiece with the next big artist or fashion trend. It makes for a very diverse, and sometimes contradictory brand. On the one hand you can have an awesomely functional watch that is high in value given what you paid for it, and on the other hand you can have sometime made in sparkly pink plastic focused entirely on being an accessory for someone's fall fashion lineup. The good news is that for the most part Casio is able to entertain both audiences. You just need to know what watches to pay attention to given your interests.Like Swatch, Casio is able to dole out a lot of volume based on some quality core designs. That means a world of possibilities and enough new things to make even the most avid collector dizzy with brand direction and product releases. Do some research and you'll find everything fr
Hey guys,I believe this was the first 41mm ROC on the forum and, since time's flown by since the 40th anniversary, it's time to send it in for water testing to get that 3rd year warranty. So what's the opinion these days on:(1) whether one should send it straight to Clearwater VS take it to the AP Boutique to send it in (I live very close to a Boutique, so no hassle there -- but heard stories of scratches happening).(2) do you guys generally get a refinishing done at this ~2 year mark? I don't have any highly noticeable marks, but I'd like to get it refinished if it were just an issue of money, but I don't want to be too wasteful of the limited number of refinishings before bezel/case replacement is needed. Thanks,
Pictures coming later after I get some links taken out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey guysNever thought I'd add a Panerai to the collection, but the 42mm 1940 (PAM512) is really growing on me. Thin, sandwiched, and transitional lugs with holes are all a big plus. Just not too keen on the faux tritium LL and patina, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. This may just be my first fun watch in a long time!List is $7800. Was this reference excluded from Feb's 5% price cut?AD offered 20% + tax on a Q serial. Do you think I should take the plunge or could better AD deals be had?
Good afternoon all - just something minor to share, but very interesting. I'm up in the Syracuse are for two days. I popped into Henry Wilson Jewelers in the East Syracuse area, inside a smaller mall. Authorized retailer. Began to talk watches (I had my 116610 on). I said, I would love to add the 'Hulk' in the future. Salesman said, Oh, the Wicked Witch, a wonderful piece. Not easy to source right now. I couldn't fathom what he was talking about when he explained that several people have called the Hulk the Wicked Witch, due to the all-green dial and bezel, similar in color to the Wicked Witch of the West i the Wizard of Oz. Personally, I think Hulk is more fitting, but this was so interesting to hear. At least to a watch dork like me....
