- This watch is beautiful and such a bargain! It is classy without looking gaudy and too flashy. I thought that it might be too bulky, but it is an amazing everyday watch!

HiI have had the following watch in a box for 10 years and im wondering if its white gold. It has 18k and 0.750 markings in 2 places but I dont know if its gold. Its 43.7 grams total and I got this from my godmother years ago. The armband is a bit twisted and she was drunk and I was young so she said I can have this because its broken. It says in the front: Leopard 17 Rubis, IncablocOn the back it says: OMEGA WATCH SWISS MADE, 18k 0.750When I make the armband touch itself, it dont make a loud noise, instead its a soft noise that comes when gold usually hits another gold piece. Here are pictures:Thanks if someone knows anything. This is atleast 20 years old. The reason im asking is because I took it to the pawnshow to get some cash (I would have bough't it back) and they said its too light to be gold.
Don't have a name for this one, but overall it is in great shape. The stainless steel case is very nice and dial, besides a small smudge between 11 and 12 looks good as well. The only thing I had to do to it was buff out the crystal, touch up the dial smudge, and buff the hands and indices. The dial has that Elgin woven cloth look. The movement is the 777 manual wind with 19 jewels. Ranfft says it was produced between 58 and 63. It is adjusted to 4 positions, runs at 18,000 bhp and has a 41 hour power reserve. To reach the movement I had to pop the crystal, which turned out to be a piece of cake. Then the two piece stem comes loose once you tilt the movement.

I thought some of you would enjoy this interview from the past from Invicta CEO Eyal Lalo.I have a lot of respect for all the collectors and for the high end watch collectors who probably don't like the products being sold so cheap.( INVICTA WATCHES)RP: Richard Paige - TimeZone.comEL: Eyal LaloRP: Could you tell me about the background of the company?EL: I'm a third generation watchmaker from a family in Switzerland. I have the Invicta distribution for the Latin American market, and I own the brand. My family marketed Invicta in the European markets and other markets including the Middle East in the 1970's. That's where the brand is big. The brand started in 1886. The booming years of popularity were in the 70s up to 1973, 1974. We also produced military watches for Switzerland during the war. My grandmother had a lot to do with the Invicta brand in her days. She still supervises the collection.RP: Was the company making new movements up to that time also?EL: No, the populari
