Thinking of an Omega
Hello from the Rolex side of the Forum.I currently own a Rolex Explorer II. I would like to add a Omega but I am not as knowledgeable about the Omega's as I am Rolex's. Can you give me some advise as to which timepiece would be a good all around Omega? I'm more of a business casual guy than a suit and tie so I tend to lean toward sport models. However, My wife likes the classiness of the sport jacket look and the cleaner lines of the not sport watch. Of course, when she's happy I'm happy so I like to keep and open mind about these things.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An observation about pilots and Breitlings
Spent a miserable weekend in airports this past weekend, including my favorite, (sarcasm) LAX. I always "watch" the watches folks are wearing around me, and counted zero pilots wearing Breitlings. In fact, it seemed most were wearing plastic digital watches. Now, I began to think back over the years, as a frequent flyer, and I can't remember ever seeing a pilot wearing one, though I've seen a number of passengers wearing them. It would seem that more of us "wannabes" wear them than pilots! (Certainly, I'm not naive enought to think that no pilots wear them, I just haven't seen any) Wonder what the reason is behind this...

Watch City Steampunks
This weekend is the annual Watch City (Waltham MA) Steampunk Festival. Here are some photosa few with clocks and watches. I saw one display where the artist took out the innards of a watch and replaced it with dead bugs, moths, etc. They were pretty cool looking but she did not grant me permission to photograph them as folks tend to do this and then steal ideas.
