Omega Omega 50927 wrist watches news:
The chronograph is one of the most popular complications. Whether timing eggs, the parking meter, a sales meeting, or you ascent up a mountain, a chronograph is a cool complication. Many have interesting bezels, from pulsometers, telemeters, tachometers, etc.So lets see some Chronos:1. Anonimo Chronoscopio with Soprod modified 7750:2. My 7750 equipped COSC Krieger Aficionado:
So, I had a customer come in with several watches. Some new, some old and some really broken. I helped him out as much as I could, for the simple stuff (batteries, bands, etc..) I ended up sending several of his watches to my watch guy. He had a few favorites, Seiko atuo 7000 series, Mickey Mouse with swiss wind mov., old (70's circa) timex wind and this one:He didn't want to pay the price to fix it and doesn't really care for it????????? So he aske dme to throw it away and focus on the others. I said sure and put it in my shirt pocket. He said "or that works", so I guess I have a new vintage..I have not done the research on it yet and not to familiar with it Medco incabloc.620 30 and case and f 4000n on movement.
I have an old Seiko watch. It's around 37 years old (give or take). It's an automatic, and has a main spring that is manually wound. This is used for the alarm which is a tiny bell in the watch. yeah, it sounds like a little mini old fashioned phone. I ran across it the other day after not seeing it for around 30 years, after a few shakes it began to run and ran well. Even the alarm worked fine. The problem is it was my first waterproof watch and I took advantage of that. I often got it wet with salt water and then 30 years of storage the case is pretty well oxidized. How can I find out more about this watch? Can the case be restored? Is it worth it? If I recall, it ran around $200 37 years ago. Here are some pictures I took of it last night.
As some may remember, I added a laptimer last October. I loved the watch, but it wore too big and was not even close to the comfort of my RM pieces. I traded the laptimer pretty quickly, and felt it was the best decision. I still missed the concept line though. Originally I wanted the GMT concept, but had been talked into the laptimer. I finally had the chance to right this wrong decision. It is also my first tourb ever, which for me I feel is a huge step!I am happy to say I added one of the last AP GMT Tourb Black pieces. It has now been discontinued and I just got the last J serial from my AD. Very excited about it and it overshadows my new RM incoming.
If you found both right now in an AD display case, which would you buy and why?
