What can you tell me about them? In my quest for a pocket watch, I have decided that the best course of action would be to buy a modern mechanical pocket watch. All of the charm with half of the price. While heading along this road, I bumped into the Charles-Hubert brand. What can you fellows tell me about their watches? Are they good quality? Should I look into adding this to my list of possible buys? Thanks in advance, Shangas. PS - I tried finding out some information about this company - and found nothing other than it's French, it started in 1990 and...that's it.

Bezel value on vintage diver
Ok this isn't a Rolex but the forums collective vintage expertise would be greatly appreciated.I ran across a beautiful 66 Seamaster 300 from a reputable seller that is all original minus a service bezel. I know that much of a vintage watch's value is in the dial, but original inserts can be expensive - especially on this 300 that seems to be rarer than its Rolex counterpart.Honestly the service bezel doesn't bother me since it's the lug design, sword hands, simple no-date dial, and patina that attract me to this model, but I do know the service bezel will effect value.How much does this affect value? $1000? $2000? $3000?This is not a matter of wearing what you like, but rather of paying an honest price. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and pic is from the seller.

I didn't think i had big fingers until i tried to wind this Speedmaster Pro. Have you ever seen a helper tool, or should i just hand it to my DW and ask her to wind it like i've been?

Aquanaut 5167 on Leather
ive received a few pm's and other requests about putting an aquanaut on a leather strap or nato. while mine spends most of its time on the OEM rubber strap, i do find that leather and nato options can work, at least just to change things up a bit from time to time. i know some purists will scoff at this, but just figured id post some options for those thinking about making a switch. below are pics of my 5167 on the rubber strap, on black leather, on grey leather, on an admiralty grey nato, and on a custom croc strap with cream stitching i had made, which integrates into the clasp.
