Breitling M4435911-BA27 wrist watches news:
There are always a few major surprises at any major watch show, and the Salon this year had a big one. That was the presentation by Piaget of the Emperador Coussin XL 700P, a hybrid quartz-mechanical watch, which we first presented to you as part of our pre-SIHH coverage last December, and which was created, says Piaget, in celebration of its first in-house quartz movement from 1976. Having seen it, at last, “in the metal” at the Salon, we think we can address the questions many of you have, including how it works, and for those of you who are interested in quartz/mechanical hybrids, the question, “is it a Spring Drive?” The answer is both yes – and no. 1 OF 9 The good folks at Piaget must be mighty tired of hearing the words “Spring Drive” by now, although questions about parallel technology are fair. The 700P is indeed very close in most respects to the Seiko Spring Drive. Although there are some differences in execution,
In the first part we have looked at India's ancient time system and the influence the British had on time keeping in India. The second part dedicated to clocks (a coming out for me: I simply love beautifully kitted out clocks) was meant to wet your appetite for the main course: Indian wrist watch making.During the time of the British in India, there was no Indian watch industry to speak of. Most watches were imported from abroad. The Swiss together with the US-based manufacturers were the market leaders. The Swiss brands West End Watch Co. with which Montres Edouard Lauzi¨¨res shares some manufacturing processes was the market leader in those days in India. At their top they sold some 500,000 watches per year into India. Another Swiss brand doing fine there was Schwarz Etienne and of course the venerable Titoni of Switzerland which by the way till this day rules the market in China for Swiss watches. From the USA there was Timex Corp. which later established a factory in the India town o
I am leaving for Mexico in a few days for a week in the sun. I need to get out of the sub zero temps and the snow. I was at first going to travel light and take only 2 watches. One for sport and one for dress. I have a watch travel case that holds 5 watches. I can not decided which ones to take and currently I have it narrowed down to 5...As many as the case will hold. Am I taking too many watches? I know the airport security should not have a problem with it and the X-Ray eqipment will not harm the autos or the quartz but what about customs? Trying to travel light? I dont know. What do you guys take? I am just curious. I will probably end up taking all the case can handle no matter what anyone says...
Hoping to solve one of this forums great mysteries. What does PJ actually own.
Hi all,New to the Rolex community so please bear with me...Just bought a brand new BLNR from an AD a few days ago. Very happy to get my hands on one and AD let me know I was lucky. That being said, I've started to notice that my cyclops is slightly crooked. Am I seeing things? What do you think? As it's hard to find a BLNR in Canada these days, the AD didn't have another one to swap for me, but they said I could send have them send it to RSC. This is my first Rolex with a cyclops, so I'm not sure if this is just the quality I should be expecting. What would you do? Thanks!
