Oris 733 7646 7184 wrist watches news:
Design can be the determining factor of what make or breaks you in the watch world. It could be a mechanical piece of genius, but if it isn't aesthetically pleasing, it won't be around long. There are and have been many renowned designers in the watch industry. A couple prime examples are the late Gerald Genta, who designed many incredible pieces, some being the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Also, Jorg Hysek, who designed the Tag Heuer Kirium and the original Arctura Kinetic for Seiko. The designer I am writing about today may not be as renowned in the watch world, but has a tremendous resume in industrial deign for many items in Japan. His name is Naoki Sakai.NaokiSakai by JoeAZFT, on FlickrSakai was born in Osaka in 1947 and grew up in Kyoto Japan. After graduating High School, Sakai went on to International Design School and then to Kyoto City University of Arts. In 1969 he made his way to San Francisco, where he became incredibly successful sell
NEWS 2Q online jewelery, watch sales drop in US August 21, 2008 U.S. retail e-commerce growth rates rebounded slightly in April (up 15 percent) after a soft March, but slowed again in May (up 12 percent) and June (up 11 percent), compared with the same periods last year, according to ComScore Inc.Nonetheless, total U.S. online retail sales (excluding travel) reached approximately $31 billion in the second quarter of 2008."With the first round of the government's economic stimulus checks having been mailed in early May, one would have hoped they would have bolstered online spending in May and June," ComScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni said in a media release issued on Thursday. "However, recent ComScore research reveals that fully two thirds of consumers said they had not planned to spend their stimulus checks and rather intended to use the cash to pay off debt or put the money into savings."In addition, Fulgoni said, it's likely the impact of the economic-stimulus checks might have been fel
I made a token bid on this watch, but I'm 99.99% sure I won't win it. If I do, it'll be a real steal.cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1182
Still love Rolex, but thought I would try some variety! Got this beauty from the MAN DavidSW. I'm loving it. Fit and finish is fantastic, this is going into my regular rotation. I'm a complete Breitling noob. Are the chronographs supposed to be moving all the time?
New to the forum and first time Rolex owner. I just bought a new Explorer 214270 2 weeks ago. For reference I have a 6.75 wrist and like my watch pretty snug on my wrist. I had the AD take out 1 link from both sides at the time of sale. The micro adjust was on the middle position and this is all with the easy link closed. Last week I had the micro adjust moved to the tightest position which helped a little, but I still want a tad tighter. As of today I have 4 links on the 6 o¡¯clock side and 6 links on the 12 o¡¯clock side, the micro adjust in its tightest setting, and the easy link closed. The entire clasp mechanism (not just the clasp buckle) is centered on my wrist and the watch case. Any suggestions on how to take about a half links worth of space out without significantly altering the balance? Any combo of links removed and the micro adjust positions works as long as the easy link stays closed, as I do live where it can get pretty hot during the day, but cool at night.
