Patek Philippe 5146J wrist watches news:
I've not made any major purchases for a number of months because I've been saving up to replace my car. It's a 1994 Audi S4 with 173K miles on it, and though it still runs great, it's seen its best days and I don't want to be stranded. So I'll be replacing it with a 2004-2006 S4 as soon as I can find the right one. What does this have to do with watches? Well, my hard to find grail (K-475) is available and I have the cash on hand to buy it, but the new car is more important at this point. Oh well, at least my priorities are straight.
Recently, I purchased my first Breguet. It is a transatlantic type XX in stainless steel. Personally, I think this is one of the best made and one of the cleanest looking chronographs I've ever seen. My question is, "Why does this forum not have an area dedicated to Breguet Watches"? All thoughts would be appreciated.
I know that there have been many comments about how awesome this forum is and of course, it's due to the leadership and particularly the members here.Well, I must give recognition and an atta-boy to Valtyr.I have had my Aristo for sale for a bit in several places, including here in WTF's sales forum. Never ever spoke or had any communication with member Valtyr, but he PM'd yesterday and wrote that he may have a buyer for the watch. A friend of his was interested after Valtyr gave him descriptions of the it. Well, the sale was just completed a few minutes ago! Here's a public "Thank You" to Valtyr for helping a fellow WIS out.
Hi there,What can you tell me about the quality of bracelets for 15300 APs? Are these prone to stretching? Are they solid link? How would this bracelet compare to the one on Rolex Daytona (ca. 2000 and newer).Thank you very much!
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I recently sold a watch here on the forum, and I went into a Fedex store to ship it. I asked for insurance to cover the value of the watch ($5,000) and was told they only provide coverage up to $1,000. I was somewhat surprised as their website indicated otherwise. I called another Fedex office in another city and was told the same thing.....$1,000. So, I wound up using USPS.Some sellers on here use Fedex insured shipping, so I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.
