Patek Philippe 3430/1 wrist watches news:
L¨¹m-Tec is a brand we've been following since we first started w&w. Their mix of bold design, moderate prices and focus on listening to their customer’s desires (they are very active on forums, regularly taking comments and criticism from members regarding design) makes them a unique brand. In their ever growing line of mechanical and quartz watches you wont find any direct clones of larger luxury brands, but rather a refreshing array of distinct designs that takes hints from here and there. Previously, we've reviewed their M33 chronograph, a phantom style quartz that is solid as a rock, and two of their higher end mechanical watches, the Combat B16 and Super B2, both of which left a lasting impression. Now, we are taking a look at one of their newest watches, the V6.Case:? Today was a fun day. I visited my PO Box, and waiting for me there were a few new nice bands from a new (to me) source along with letter from Fred Friedberg, THE Illinois wristwatch expert. In the old days, a few times a year Fred would put together a list with photos of treasures in search of a good home. Sadly, he has been travelling all over Asia and Europe the last few years so these lists have not been published. (His REAL job is an an exec and top lawyer for a largish international company.) Included on the list are many of the models that collectors seem to like most Consul, Jolly Roger, Piccadilly, Ritz, Chieftain, Townsman, Speedways, and more. Most seem to be very nice obviously some are from his personal collection because this quality simply does not pop up often anymore. I have asked him to visit here periodically to chime-in on Illinois discussions and he tells me that he will. Until then, if you are intersted in seeing what he has available, please let me know
Hi All, This is a follow up to my thread Rubber strap conversion kit for RO 15400.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=509520I snapped pics throughout the entire install process. It's a little tricky and a little bit more time consuming than changing out a Rolex or Patek with spring bars, but once the brackets are installed on the rubber, it's only a pair of screws for each strap. Not bad at all.So if you don't mind, i'll post pics from start to finish and end off with the end product. Kind of like a strip tease lol. Enjoy! So the conversion kit consists of a few screws, a pair of brackets for each strap, and the beautiful AP deployment.pic1.jpgI started with installing the deployment on the strap.pic2.jpgOne screw to remove the bar to attach the deployment.pic3.jpgLook at that AP!pic4.jpgRemove the braceletpic5.jpgThere's also a bar in between the lugs. I used the flat screw driver head to push it out.pic6.jpgAnd the bracelet is off.picXXX.jpgNow to the straps. Insert the brackets into t
I have owned a 5726 on bracelet and strap, 5980 two tone and Rose bracelet, none of these lasted long. I had a 5980R sold it, bought the actual watch back. Having trouble getting a Nautilus to last in the collection or rotation. I now love and wear my 5980R, I wear it a few days each month. I was considering rounding things out by having a Nautilus on bracelet to add to the strap and have one piece in steel and one PM. Didn't know which reference was going to sing to me this time around, if any. Kind of been there done that sort of thought process. In speaking to my favorite and great AD's I was informed they just had a 5711 arrive. I always thought of it as just an entry level piece due to the lack of complications. Then I started to think about the 5711 more and more. I generally have tastes now towards extremes, if I want a sports watch I want the ultimate, if a complicated I want them all, etc. The 5711 is an 'all rounder' HOWEVER sometimes less is more. A clean, quality, simple wa
I just wanted to start a thread for the 47 mm watch, because it sometimes get a bad wrap as being a (clock watch). Well, I for one love the size and I just want to see others.
