My new IWC
I always admired the Gerald Genta designs of the 1970s. Think Patek Philippe Nautilus, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo, Vacheron Constantin Overseas and .. the IWC Ingenieur SL. All of them are way out of my budget, but as I came to think of it.. the - in 2005 introduced - IWC Ingenieur ref.3227-01 with its inhouse pellaton-winding system movement, is also based on the original GG design. I contacted an IWC dealer in Amsterdam (there are lots of IWC dealers in the Netherlands, as the brand is very populair since a few years) and discussed the Ingenieur and its price ;). I admire the Ingenieur for its 'engineered' construction with the anti-magnetic softiron innercase, the nicely crafted case and bracelet, the very detailed dial and the shiny markers and hands. The watch has this industrial look which you can love or just hate... Only a few people I showed the watch in real seemed to like it ;). What a great watch
Hey gang, I'm a newbie here and I just thought I'd say hello. This is my beloved seiko that I bought when I was around 13 years old. I remember going into the jewelry store with my mother, probably around the mid 70's, and seeing this beautiful watch. I was working and my Mother thought it would be a good experience for me, so she let me buy it. The store let me put it on layaway; I came in every week when I got paid and put a little bit of money on it till it was mine. That said, this watch has been with me since; through Navy Bootcamp and an 8 yr stint..travelled all over the world, and never once let me down. This watch is absolutely bullet proof and as beautiful as the day I first laid eyes upon it. Anyway, here she is, not a great pic but it's all I have at the moment.Steve

Need Help Identifying Leather Strap & Clasp for SMP Ceramic
Hi All,I have a Seamster Professional ceramic (Model: 212.30.41.20.03.001) with a blue dial. I want to change out the bracelet for an Omega leather strap and clasp. I came across this photo and really liked the strap - can you help identify it (I think it's an Omega strap)?Thanks!

Seen this baby at the AD and just had to have it :) it is such a beast ! I've owned the DSSD and can say it wears slightly taller but it is just so nicely made :)The 9300 movement is truly breath taking ! Good morning gents,If you get a chance check out pg 18/19 of the Spring addition of the Patek Magazine, there's a fantastic write up on the 5970 that a lot of you will find interesting.
