Tag Heuer CAR2012.FC6235 wrist watches news:
I submitted a thread yesterday about the white dial automatic Marina Militare I had aquired . Nice watches, and better leather straps than I am used to for this type of watch. These are the three watches I received. The web site doesn't say much about the movements, so I sent an email asking if they would tell me more about the movements in the watches. I was curious. The white dial automatic, model MD-033 on the site, is built around the Mingzhu model 3809 movement. Mingzhu is somehow associated with the Guangzhou Watch Company. I learned on the web that the Mingzhu 38XX series movements are basically a clone of the Miyota series 8200 movements. It also has decent lume.I also bought the GMT II automatic, model MD-041. This watch is also built around a Mingzhu movement. This time movement model 3804. The GMT hand is independant for setting to a different time zone. And a lume shot. The last watch is model MD-061, a Regatta model Power Reserve Automatic. This one is built around Sea-
I am so angry that I could chew nails up into baby pablum ......just got the Vulcain watch back from the guy in Poland......and it's in 3 pieces....the bezel, crystal, crown and stem , the dial and movement and the back .......I don't know if anything is missing, I sure as s*** can't tell if it still runs, I don't know how to put it back together .....and I had to sign for it , so chances are that paypal will refund him the money, after they declared it in my favor ......that watch was just back from my watch guy, it is in gorgeous condition, the case is clean, the crystal is clean and so are the dial and the movement .....he just threw those 3 parts in a box with packing peanuts .......I certainly hope Jerry can fix it....and I hope there's nothing missing ...what a complete and total jerk .......ggggrrrrr ....I am part Pennsylvian Dutch, we can hex people ....heh heh .....screw with me will he ...ha ..not a good idea .........my Irish part is on a rampage ! lucky for him is on ano

Hello TRF!,It has been a while since I've posted on here. Have to get back into the habit!I wondered if you all may be able to help me with a question. A friend of mine inherited a PP 3800 from his grandfather but was never told the value of the watch. he didn't realize what he had until it stopped working and he had to send it in for a rather expensive service, via his local AD, around 4 years ago.He did not wear it much after that, but when he thought of selling it he took it out of the drawer and it wasn't working again. Sent it back to Patek via the AD and did another full service. Not being a watch person, he's ready to get rid of it due to the service expense.I am considering buying the watch from him but thought it would be interesting to have the history of the watch. I have heard stories where Patek was able to dig into their archives and pull old papers from the watch, where it was purchased, service history, etc. Thought it would be neat to have all of that on a vintage piec
