Hamilton Palisade Information request
I have not received, but have ordered a Hamilton Palisade per attached photos, but from what I have found at hamiltonwatch.info per 1930 Hamiltons offered, this rare watch was sold with a 987 movement instedad of the 979 19j movement within the one I ordered. The site described that the Palisade came with either a yellow or white gold filled case with gold or embrossed numeral dial, whereas the one ordered has a minutes railroad type minute dial similar to the Pipimg Rock, but no hour or second numeral indicators. It has black arrow hands and case described as silver, but may be white gold filled since there appears a bit of lug edge wear through. Is this an original watch or one with mixed parts: I can return it, but the cost is reasonable for the case and movement. If the dial is not original to the watch, should I consider a refinish, and, if so, by whom? It has quite a bit of patina, but not too bad for an 82 year old watch. Hello guys!Please forgive the quality, I'll post better pictures when I borrow a decent camera. - Zenith pocket watch - cleaned, oiled and polished (unfortunatley not in these photos).- 1960s IWC - cleaned, oiled, polished, new glass, new leather bracelet, new crown (not original).- Tissot Le Locle - regulated for better accuracy, polished and checked (not needed new lubrication).Watchmaker opened the IWC and Zenith when I brought them and the mechanism was super cleanlike new. I was amazed. He also told me the IWC is calibre 89 (if i remember correctly) and said it was a very good one.Zenith was my grandfather's, and IWC my father's (anniversary present from mom in 1965or was it 1968forgot ).

Here's the scenario Back in 2010 I bought from an AD one of the first 5205G with the darker dial,to arrive in the UK. I took an immediate like of it from the first photo of its launch at the Basel show that year. Fast forward 2 years and I was struggling to read the time in certain light. So I returned it back to Patek, who had kindly agreed to change the dial for the lighter one.Not long after I had it back, I saw a beautiful 3940R, so the 5205G had to go. So I sold it to a reputable grey dealer here in the UK.Now fast forward to the present day.While scanning this dealers website, as you do I saw that they had a 5205G. Out of interest, I contacted them and yes, low and behold it is my old Patek. They had sold it and then taken it back against another watch.Well my imagination took over and I wondered if I should try and return it to the fold.The problem is that I don't have the funds.So my dilemma is this.Would you exchange your current Pateks, which are:5711A from 2012 B&P and
