The American icon Timex Group throws in the towel at the high end of the market. In 2006 Timex bought into the Swiss manufacture Vincent B¨¦rard and started the journey back into the higher end of the market.Timex asked the efficient Herbert Gautschi to continue as CEO of Vincent B¨¦rard in order to allow Mr. B¨¦rard to concentrate on the technical side of the business. Many commentators had voiced their doubts about a lower end manufacturer like Timex Group being able to get a high-end niche brand like Vincent B¨¦rard to work successfully alongside the mass markets peculiar industrial requirements. Back then, I was convinced that this is possible. After all companies like Swatch and Titan Industries prove it on a daily basis.Today, I had to learn that the two companies will go separate ways again and that Timex Group pulls back its financial backing.Who is to blame? Most likely both sides equally. Vincent B¨¦rard engineered one of the nicest movements which probably is too complicated to ma
I made it a whopping two weeks without any bumps or nicks, but tonight my new 5167 met the kitchen counter lol Luckily, I really have to hold it at the right angle to see it, but sad to see the new charm is wearing off. On, the other hand i know with my Daytona it builds Character. When ever i see the nicks and scratches it bring my back memories. How do you guys/girls keep your sanity when it comes to scratching? Or keep your watches so pristine?
Hey all, looking to pick up my first PAM. Had the opportunity to try a few on today at a local shop. I'm currently looking at the following models...000, 111, 112, 312, 392, 372.Right now I'm leaning towards the 392 because I like the clean dial and feel that the size fits me best but making a decision is tough. There are so many to choose from! I may have to buy more than one =).Anyways, here are some cell phone pics. I'm interested in your guys' thoughts and comments on anything PAM related. Thanks!392112111372

The green subs (sorry I cant bring myself to use cartoon names) seem to be crazy popular. What if Rolex brought out some other colors for the SS Subs...Blue (sunburst), red, yellow.... Do you think these would take off? I understand Green is Roles's color if you will, but just thinking if I was a big shot at Rolex, I would be thinking maybe a blue next year and them maybe the yellow 2 or 3 years later... Any thoughts?
