Finished a VERY Cool 1931 Waltham Today, Tri-Color Dial ! ! ! ! !
Hey guys ! ! !I finished with this 1931 Waltham today so I thought that I'd share the results. It's a 1931 Waltham, 15 jewels, grade 365, size 3/0s, model 1907, Keystone Watch Case Company "Silveroid" cushion case, original factory crown, 16mm lugs. I restored this Waltham as close as humanly possibly to it's original condition, I bought the watch just as you see it here but obviously it has had a massive amount of work done to bring it back to splendor. The bottom picture shows the dial BEFORE any work had been done. It was in very poor condition and looked like hell! I sent it to International and it probably looks better now than it did brand new. Refinished in black with white figures then an antique finish light brown lum material was added to the numerals and hands. Yes, they ALL glow green in the dark, the lum is sort of faint but it does glow. I did my magic with the case and it looks pretty darn good now as well, a couple a light nicks remain (sorry not a miracle worker). I ad
