Just purchased on E-bay. Paid $300.00 MGI confirms authenticity. Had watch fully serviced. Sufficient value to add to homeowners policy as separately scheduled item? Any ideas as to how to value? How rare is the thing? I know it's only a quartz mov't, but it does have a lot of complications and you really don't see a lot of this modle in worn but vg cond. Can't really call it NOS because the case does have some minor wearing scratches, but except for that it's perfect - new crown, crystal, deployment clasp, etc.Thoughts?

AP Service Question..
If I buy an AP from a grey market dealer like David SW, when it comes time for service, how do I go about sending the watch to AP? Do I need to register the watch with them or something?..Thanks

My day at the AD
Yesterday I decided that today is the day to go down and try on some AP's. Granted I have tried on a 15300 before but that was it and I really wanted to see what they were all about as I love them in pics. Well, my closest AD is 2 and a half hours so I woke up early and took a half day at work then made the drive down to Naples. I must say that the AD could not have been any nicer. Their staff treated me like a VIP client even though I told them I had no interest in buying today and that I was just looking. I ended up talking watches for about 2 hours in there and had an absolute blast! Definitely worth the 5 hours in the car yesterday. Onto what i tried on. The first watch I tried on was a IWC Ingeniuer..no pics but a cool watch nonetheless. After fooling around with that and some other pieces for a bit I finally made it to the AP SectionThe first AP I tried on was the ROO Panda on a bracelet. WOW!! AD Visit - Patek Annual Calendars
Dropped by the AD today to check out some PP Annual Calendar watches, probably my second favorite complication as I love the moonphase and practicality of the complication (my favorite complication is the minute repeater, which is on a whole different level). Both the 5205G and 5396 are truly stunning, although having just picked up the 5167R I wasn't about to walk out with another one today It's the first time I've had the chance to see the 5205G grey dial in person, which had always been my favorite version, and it didn't disappoint. I love the case lug design, but as I have been shifting towards thinner watches, the 5205 sat a bit higher than I had expected, although it will still fit easily under a shirt cuff.The 5396 with its classic calatrava design makes it more dressy, and the case is also thinner than the 5205. I'd happily take either one home, but not today. However, I didn't leave the AD empty handed, as the AD was kind enough to give me a copy of the Patek 175th Anniver
