I am preparing to take a test that prohibits anything digital/electronic but that permits analog watches with chronographs.I am on a pretty tight budget ($180 is pushing it) but I'd like to take this opportunity to pick up a decent everyday watch.I want something that looks good, can be worn day-in and day-out (nothing funky), and that has a highly functional chronograph. I want to get the most for my money, of course.I've been researching and looking at the Seiko SNDA67. I'm seeing them new for as low as $130 online. Should I go for it? Anything else I need to consider before I buy?
Adam is in my neck of the woods for a few days so we met for lunch and to talk watches. We were just trying on each other's watches and mine fit him better than it did me, and vice versa. I saw this today and decided it would look good at my house. A little background....the Chancellor Hotel was a local hotel built in 1901 and torn down in 1977. I would guess the clock to be from the 60's. Works great.
Just got my speedmaster pro with cal 861 back from service done at an AD. After a couple of weeks the movement started to lose time, when I got it back from service it was gaining 2-3 sec/24h no matter of posistion. Now it¡äs losing time when at wrist, from 5-15 sec/.24h. Returned it to my AD and he told me after some measurements that it was running slow, but aplitude was just fine. After some regulation i was promised an accurate speedmaster. However, it¡äs still losing time! I made some measurements of my own and dial up is -6 sec/24h, dial down +4 sec/24h and crown up -4 sec/24h. All measurenets with fully wound mainspring. So, my question. Is this norma deviation after a complete service?
