Cartier W20011C4 wrist watches news:
Love the ad copy.Love the gold bubbles.Love the domed bezel.Love the new bracelet.Love the idea of a TT dresswatch.I even like the diamonds on the markers, something that usually doesn't work for me.I don't love that I have no money for another watch:mad:What do you think of this "new" DJ? On a different note, isn't it great to have a place like this to play?I can't talk to any of my friends about my love for Rolexes as they'd think I was materialistic and a bit weird. I can't explain to them why I feel the need to go back to NYC this spring, if luck has it, and attend another GTG. WTF is a great place to hang out, read silly Rolex related threads, learn stuff about new and old Rolexes, and air "the love" you have for particular models. I'm grateful to have this site. Thanks to our moderators and WTF's owner for doing all this hard work to make this place happen. Without this, I wouldn't have had the interest to buy more than one Rolex, nor would I have 1/10th the knowledge I have
Finally picked up my new baby today! Was going back and forth on this and the black PO 45mm but now I have this at home, I love it! What do you guys think? Sorry picture quality isn't the best!
Hello all,I may be asking this prematurely. Oh well.Is the Liquid Metal Bezel available yet? If so, would it fit my SMP 2531.80? The ceramic bezels sure seem like the way to go for a watch actually to be used in the ocean! Does anyone here think I would be making a Franken-watch that would decrease the value of my 2531.80? It seems to me it would be easy enough to switch back to the old bezel if this turns out to be the case. Some of you here may recall I considered adding a cyclops over the date window to help my presbyopic eyes. I decided against this as the concensus was this would decrease the value of my watch. I don't think I will ever want to sell it, but I have learned my ability to predict my behavior in the future is far less than perfect.Opinions would be helpful.I love reading what you guys think, even if I don't always agree 100%. I recognize you all have a higher percentage of well grounded opinions about watches than I do.Thanks for your help,Jeff
OK, so as an offshoot of Boscoe's "How many is too many" thread, I started thinking what is the "perfect" collection? So I started to think about it..IMO, this would be the perfect watch collection. Mind you, while I think ideally (for me anyways) it would be 1 watch per category, it's probably unrealistic with a bunch of over-compulsive watch-addicts like us.. But here's the categories I came up with for my perfect collection that everyone should have a minimum of 1 of....Core categoriesDress watch. Worn for the "dinner & movie" nights & formal wears. Goes with suit & tux For me it's a rose gold case with a croco strap, but any dress watch fits."Good" Diver. A good diver style for sport wear, but not something you'd want to beat on. A casual-Friday wear, evening & weekend watch."Beater" Diver. The watch for mowing the grass, working on the house, etc.Pilot Style.Either a Navitimer-style or GMT-style watch.Aviator Style.A true Aviator watch. Stainless steel case a
I have an AP Diver that I really like but I have always have my doubts if its too large and honestly it is not the most comfortable watch in my stable. I end up always going back to my SS Daytona and my No date Sub.I am having some thoughts if I should even keep the diver or look for different option, as I always come back to Rolex an option might be 2 Rolex for the diver or spice it up a little and try something else with the risk of going back to my Rolex rotation, I also have a 15400 and I do like it a lot and use it regularly as it is very comfortable, for me comfort is as important as quality and design, I don't want to put a lot of money if decided to switch. Not even sure if I am willing to do it, I do love my diver just want to hear different opinions.Any thoughts? Thanks
