Citizen CA0331-05A wrist watches news:
Steinhart is a brand with a reputation for producing timepieces that achieve a level of craftsmanship and acute sense of aesthetic that far out pace their price tag.? Even today, having been a Steinhart devotee for some time, I find myself pausing as I peruse the Steinhart website to think “How the hell are they selling that watch at that price?” ?Not too long ago I pulled the trigger on Steinhart’s Nav B-Uhr II B-Type, a pitch perfect homage to the classic German observation pilot watch, and it has certainly lived up to the Steinhart reputation.Movement: ETA 2824-2 Swiss Made automaticCase: satin stainless steelBack: Stainless steel screwedDiameter: 44 mmheight: 14.2 mmWeight: 107gDial: blackCrystal: Sapphire domed interior non-reflectingBezel: stainless steelIndices: Superluminova white C1Lug width: 22mmWater Resistance: limitedStrap: Juchten leather brown with double studsAs noted in my initial impressions of the Nav B-Uhr II B-Type, it is a recreation of the origi
A kinda dumb observation:I've noticed that submitted photos indicate that Rolex owners are a hairy bunch. I wonder if the strong desire to own a Rolex is related to the degree of body hair? Do any of you have relatively hairless arms?(This is a humorous observation, no insult is intended)Saul
If anyone can please lend their knowledge regarding a recent find. It's a Citizen Eagle 21 jewel automatic. Can anyone give me a model or name of this watch. See pics please Thank YouP1050414.jpgP1050418.JPGP1050419.jpg
While waiting at the eye doctor w/ my son, I glanced through an automotive magazine and saw an article titled something like the following. "Here's a list of the seven books that anyone interested in cars should own." I didn't read the piece (because I'm not that invested). But it got me thinking Which books would be on your list, and why? Not talking about those great books that serve our own particular interests, mind you. For example, given my focus on wristwatches related to James Bond, I've come to like Breitling: The History of a Great Brand of Watches 1884 to Present, by Benno Richter. And I think Vintage Rolex Sports Models: A Complete Visual Reference & Unauthorized History, by Martin Skeet & Nick Urul is the best in class for 007 and early Rolex models. But that's too limited for this question, too specific to my tastes. One of the 7 most important books that I'd recommend for anyone interested in wristwatches is Watch: History of the Modern Wrist Watch Design 1950 - 19
While searching for watches on the web I saw the watch I was looking for on "that website" that's famous for selling Books.List Price: $2,300.00Price: $1,219.00 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping. You Save: $1,081.00 (47%)It seems like an amazing discount but I can't figure out if it's a grey market watch or possibly a fake/replica? "That site" is reputable but I can't help but wonder if they know where they're getting their goods. All I keep thinking is if it sounds too good to be true...
