Does anyone here own a Germanika?
I have been dreaming of a Germanika III for quite a while now! But I have been a little distracted, so no Germanika yetAnyway, to my point, I don't think I have seen any Germanika IIIs, or any of the Germanika line here yet, and I would love to hear and see a personal review or testimony on the Germanika series. Maybe its not the most popular of Muhle's lines, but I love the simplicity of the Germanika III.I also cant tell if the dial (on the white model) is more white (like an enamel) or silver (like a metal), and it would be nice to see some non-promo pictures to get a better idea. If no other WTF members own a Germanika, maybe John can give us a review! Thanks

Any objection to my starting off the new year w/ a thread dedicated to James Bond time pieces? I've seen and enjoyed a lot of great wristwatch images in Omega and Rolex forums, but I thought it would be a nice way start out the new year which will end with another Daniel Craig 007 film by suggesting a spot where we can all come together.Here's my opening contribution.This is my Omega 2907.50.91, "Casino Royale" Limited Edition, w/ which I've spent a great deal of time as 2007 drew to a close. I wanted to do something different by way of creating an image. What better an approach than to reflect an Aston Martin DB5 in the blue outer A/R coating of the Seamaster Planet Ocean? Diver short band
How much shorter is the short Diver band, compared to the regular? I'm on the last hole of the standard band, and its snug. The second to last it too loose. Anyone on the smaller wrist size (~6.5) make the switch? TIA...

16610 - possible to swap clasp with gmt/explorer?
Just picked up a NOS 16610 earlier today. I'm loving it so far except for one thing - the clasp. It just seems big and clunky and sticks out too far for no reason (well I know the reason with the diver extension but who here has ever actually had a need for that). I was wondering if it was possible to take a oyster deployant clasp similar to that on my 16710 or on an Exp2 and replace this clunky clasp? Or would I need to replace the entire bracelet? And even if you could swap, is it possible to buy just the clasp?
