Very Unusual Vintage Solid Silver Cyma-Tavannes Watch
I came across this unusual Cyma-Tavannes watch made of solid silver and had to buy it. Now, I am trying to date the watch, but I am finding very little information on the webz about it. I know it pre-dates 1966 since that is when the Cyma-Tavannes Watch partnership was ended. That said, the characteristics of the watch lead me to believe it is much older than the sixties anyway, I am guessing, the forties? Aside from it being quite heavy, (the silver) and rather large for a watch from its era, it has been fitted with a very unusual face protector, or at least that is what I believe it was intended for? It has one last very unique feature to it, but I will save that for later conversation, assuming I get any interest on the subject of the date of manufacture of the watch. I haven't been on here in a while, but hopefully some of my old friends still frequent the forum and, more important, they are still as smart as they used to be! Thanks!

HiWhat would the consensus be on aquanaut or nautiliusfor next watch.I prefer the case and face of the nautilus, but prefer the rubber strap option of the aqaunaut. Does anyone think they will ever do a standard steel nautilus with a strap option (rubber?) in the near future?ThanksGrant

Am I getting a good deal?
After collecting for some time now I think a base model Panerai would compliment my collection nicely. I have the opportunity to buy on eBay a J serial 112 it has some scratches but the seller claims it was recently serviced. I figure I will send it to my local jeweler to get a nice polish. It doesn��t come with box or papers and he wants $3,555 considering this is a watch from 2007 is this a good deal?
