Hublot's creator, Carlo Crocco, grew up in an Italian family of watchmakers. He had designed his first watch by 1967. In 1980 he followed in his families footsteps and set up his own company, MDM Geneva. That same year he created the first Hublot watch, it featured a gold porthole shaped watch case and incorporated both polished and brushed metal on a black rubber bracelet. This was the first watch in the history of watchmaking to have a natural black rubber bracelet.
In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver - who has worked for (Audemars Piquet, Omega and Swatch Group) became of CEO and board member of Hublot. The next year Biver set up a new collection, the Hublot "Big Bang" chronograph, that was presented in Basel in April 2005.
I got my Hamilton Cushion B without a crystal. It measures 23.9mm, but I'm not certain what type it was. I ordered a basic hi-dome plastic crystal, but seller doesn't have it in stock, so if I can find suitable glass replacement that I can get sooner, that would be great. I just purchased this new Royal Oak Dual Time, I am absolutely in love with the watch. And I hope that this will be the first of many AP purchases.One thing that is bugging me about the watch, is the the AP Logo on the clasp sticks out while it's on my wrist, doesn't matter what position my hand is in, it extends out, I want to know if this is normal, or is this a defect?It is still under warranty, so I don't think that will be an issue, but if it's part of the design, I can get used to it, any help would be appreciated.
