A cool feature of WTF...
I noticed this recently - so apologies for pointing out the obvious, but if you look at the green masthead at the top of the page, you will see lots of cool options there.For example clicking "new posts" will allow you to see ALL new posts across ALL forums.VERY cool One of the things I really love about this software is how easy it makes it to go from forum to forum - rather than having to stick in one place.If you haven't yet - give it a try and explore WTF - there is a LOT more here than just the Rolex forum!All the best,Harry

When going pre-loved, do you horse trade?
Having sold a couple of watches privately before I had been amazed at the manner by which some folk would attempt to beat you down on a price. Perhaps it's human nature and par for the course. As a number of you may know, I tend to keep my watches in pretty good condition, beaters apart since they're worn for the unglamorous tasks. As I don't abuse my watches, I do put them out at a realistic and fair price, describing the condition of the watch and offering pictures to support the prose. The price it must be said, is worked out having taken into consideration other items of similar condition that are offered in the marketplace. However of the two I have sold privately, being the 2255.80 ( Electric Blue ) and the 2538.20, Great White, it was the latter with which I had more difficulty in selling and this despite the fact that it had been discontinued. I decided my next piece is going to be the AP Openworks Skeleton --- preferably the steel with a bracelet and looking for early spring. Seems like these are not too easy to find. Any possible leads ... My decision is based on the fact that I have had this one on my short list for some time and it keeps growing on me. I do not own nothing like a skeleton.. My only other AP is the AP ROO Chrono so i am familiar with AP. Most of my pieces are Patek and I do not own any Rolex. I generally like a watch that has a few complications and this one is quite the opposite but it has visual activity and that is a turn on for me.

Which would you take on this trip?
Hello everyone here at TRF! I am just learning that I'll be heading to Vegas for a long weekend in about a month. Being the WIS that I am, I am already focusing on the most important detail.....which watch to bring along. There are 2 that I am considering and would like you opinions on which to take.Option #1). In addition, it's extremely comfortable to wear and I tend to worry less about it getting dirty since I can always just give a quick clean in the shower. Plus, the versatility of being able to lounge with it by the pool, then go to a nice dinner and a show. On the downside, it just isn't as elegant or flashy, and Vegas is sometimes the perfect opportunity to be a little showy. I am in the market for a blue dial watch. Have been looking at omega, IWC but the new 688 has also caught my eye. I am not that keen though on the band, prefer a black band.
