It’s been a few weeks since I received my Seiko 65 chrono, and in that time it has become a staple of my watch rotation. ?Its style is?versatile, and as I mentioned in?my?initial?impressions, the?chronograph offers unique functionality. ?Since first getting the 65, I’ve addressed my only major gripe with the watch, its strap, with zulu and bond straps. ?Pictures and more after the jump.Case: Stainless Steel with black ion coatingMovement: Seiko?7T92?quartz 1/20 second chronograph w/ dateDial: Black w/ while detailLens: Seiko Hardlex CrystalCase Back: screwdown stainless steelStrap: Black?Double Layered Nylon w/ Steel BuckleWater Res.: 10atm (100m/330ft)Dimensions: 43.5mmCrown: Push/pullThickness: 11mmLug Width: 22mmWarranty: 1 yearAs I mentioned in my previous post about the Seiko 65, this watch provides a lot of complexity and styling in an?affordable?and incredibly?versatile?package.??The?face features an active second dial at nine o'clock, a 1/20 second dial and 12 hr di
Just discovered you guys, those who frequent WUS Vintage may have seen these, but here goes-With a first name "Donald" I felt an urge to own my namesake watch. So several years ago I picked one up off the 'bay. After a while I grew dissatisfied with redials so sold it. Got an original dial but grew unhappy with it as it looked "dirty"-sold it. My search for birthyear Donald was difficult because I was born in 1953 and it seems they weren't made past 1952. A forum regular at WUS found this on the net- I look at it as being conceived (built) in'52 and born (first used) in '53 -like me! Also, I worked as a photographer for several years and I'm thinking that the Eastman Mfg was some part of Eastman Kodak (which used a variety of names). I'm willing to overlook the redial because of the date (but could use a new crown!). Anybody else with a Hamilton with their name? Birthyear? Both?Don
What watches can you recommend that have a dark face with orange accents? I've been looking at the Hamilton Air Race and love the color combination, but would like to find something a little less expensive.I may break down and pick one up, I just have to figure out how to justify spending that much on a watch that will only get worn once or twice a week.

Hi All, this is Andy from Austin, Texas.Firstly, I have been lurking on the forum for a while, hoovering up all the great AP advice on here - so a big thank you.I have been a watch guy all my life, since my mom bought me my first Timex, a diver style watch from a Post Office (I am a Brit) in the UK when I was five years old - I found that watch in a junk drawer when I was moving to Austin 7 years ago, wound it up and it worked perfectly! My son now wears it.I had always been a Rolex guy and bought my first one, an Air King 25 years ago and then traded that for a grey dial DJ and that for a GMT and finally that for a SS black faced Daytona, which I still have.Back in 2008, I purchased a SS PAM 233, which I wore a lot but never really connected with it and have always loved the look of the AP ROO RG models. I tried on both the 42mm and the new 44mm models and on my wrist just preferred the size, symmetry and look of the 42mm model.Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I had read great r
