A Chance Encounter
I have not been on this forum for a very long time, mainly because I have been pursuing a new passion, handguns. Well today I was in my local gun shop looking for a pistol. As the salesman was getting one out of the display case I noticed that he was wearing an Omega 2254.50. Well the conversation quickly turned to watches. We exchanged watches to admire each other's watch (I were my 2255.80 every day). I must say that I had a fine time today at the gun shop.No, I didn't buy a Walther PPK or a Beretta 418. But for all of you gun enthusiasts out there, I am seriously considering a Ruger SR9.

Regarding radio signal for Atomic Time Watches
I'm looking to buy a Eco-Drive AT Watch for myself but considering that I live in the GMT +2 time zone I think the radio signal doesn't exist in my country. Setting the time manually is accurate, but not enough. So my question is how can I find out if my country is covered by the NSIT radio signal?Thank you for reading and have a good day.

A look inside your watch case...or how I spent my Saturday afternoon
A couple weeks ago I asked for some input concerning battery changes. As a result of your input I bought some tools and decided to give it a try. I had 5 watches that had stopped working, presumably due to dead batteries, and I had a very old screw in back Accutron to experiment with. First of all the Accutron was very interesting and I basically found that much like my old Canon F1 35mm film camera replacement batteries of the mercury cell variety are not readily available.On to the watches. If you have never seen an open caseback on a quartz watch you may be a bit surprised. I was.First up is the Golana Swiss Aero Pro model AE100-2. Where's the movement? Under that black plastic spacer.In this case the movement is an ETA 805.112 0-jewel quartz that requires a #377 battery. This movement leaves a lot of empty space in a modern size watch case.Next up was a Swiss Legend Throttle. This watch has the famous or infamous, depending on your point of view, ETA G10.211 quartz chronog

Rubber strap - AP vs AP Bands?
I want to buy a rubber strap for my 42mm ROC. I have worn the genuine AP rubber strap on my Rubberclad but would like to hear from people that have tried the AP Bands version. Is it inferior or essentially the same? Comfort is my main priority.
