Longines Longines 20491 wrist watches news:
Well, after all my dithering I finally pulled the trigger on a BN Sub LV.I'm very surprised with myself on just how much I like the green bezel in the flesh. However I did work a new black insert into the deal and when it arrives.....?Well I fully intended to have it swapped in but now I'm not so sure, the green looks great.I probably will just to compare but the green really sets the watch apart, although the black has more "class".Anyway, I love it and took a fair few quick and dirty photos......Thanks to everyone who patiently advised me as I dithered my way to this choice and thanks for looking
Hello everyoneI'm new to the forum, having purchased my first Hamilton watch.Over the years I've had the usual stuff - Rolex, Omega, Breiting, Panerai, Jaeger. In truth, owning some of these pieces has been the kudos in being seen wearing them.I'm now looking at watches because I LIKE them. Recently I've had a number of TW Steels but whilst I still enjoy wearing a large watch I'm finding that 50mm is just that bit too big.So, my first Hamilton is a Khaki Pilot 46mm with black dial and dark brown strap, although I have also bought the light tan strap and S/S bracelet to fit. Amongst many features, I love the easy-to-read face and the fact that as I move the watch about the numerals pick up the colours around them until I look at the dial full on when the S/S shines out.Imagine my dismay therefore on browsing the forum to find that my watch does not appear popular among Hamilton devotees and might even have a cheapo Chinese movement! Before I throw the watch into the skip, is there anyone
Ok, this is my first post & I have a wide range of options. I'm considering buying myself a watch early next year as a reward for a good year. This will be my first real watch. I plan on wearing it daily and keeping it for a long time. I have a suit & tie job. I really like the Omega Seamaster 300m in black. My dad got a seamaster for college graduation & wore it every day until he retired. I'm also considering a used Rolex Submariner 11610. Its classic, rugged & should hold its value. I kinda feel like if I don't suck it up and buy one now, I'll end up getting one later. I really like the Lum-Tec M series and the V1. From what I've read, the quality is there. They look pretty big to be a daily wearer, though. I live in Houston & I think I could get a 25-40% discount on the Omega. There are a lot or dealers, so I think I could negotiate a pretty good deal on a Rolex too. I can afford the Omega relatively easily but 4-5k on a submariner would be a stretch. I like the
Considering this vintage ladies' 14k omega and am wondering if there are any eagle eyes out there. anything look off to anyone? asking price is 500USD.also wondering if anyone can tell me more about era / ref no / mvmt no. many thanks!
While I feel like a complete newbie on this I cannot seem to get a grip on the setting of the GMT function on my new to me Great White. I generally only travel through US time zones and live in EST. Perhaps one of the esteemed board members can thump me on the head with something to make it clear to me, or not.My assumption is when set, the GMT hand and hour hand move in unison. I must have not set properly because this is not the case for me.
