- I purchased this watch for my brother-in-law for Christmas. My sister got him a similar watch that he has yet to wear. I think that says it all.

- The watch is great for everyday wear. Good quality and style for the price. I had the same watch in stainless, I like the titanium better...much lighter.

Maurice Lacroix MI1098-SS042-130 wrist watches news:
As you may recall I bought a Parnis Pilot last month. The Parnis Pilot is an IWC Big Pilot homage, and I'd wanted to see how I liked the size & feel of the Big Pilot. I mainly wanted the strap & deployant as I was looking for one for another watch & couldn't find one. So the watch itself was a secondary issue.Well, after 2 weeks here's a quick synopsis & some thoughts of the watch. As I mentioned in my original post the exterior quality is pretty good. It certainly looks & feels more expensive than the $90 it cost. The steel case is nicely finished - both the polished & brushed areas. The dial is crisp-looking, even with the 2 sub-dials.Strap is good (not great) and the deployant is very good. Holds the watch very securely. But the interior is a completely different story. When I got the watch I noticed when you set it & pushed in the crown it wouldn't start back up. So you had to pull out the crown & push back in 8-10 times to get it to start. S
Rec'd this yesterday, watch was described as having a spotty dial and bracelet in poor condition. All I did was clean off the dirt and polish the crystal. The mvt looks like new, the dial and hands are excellent, bracelet nearly new!
Beautiful weather at the park with the family. Omega SMP chrono on the wrist.
I had this discussion with a friend of mine at the lunch the other day and was curious how the WISer crowd would weigh in.If you were the person that bought the Newman Daytona for $17 something million, would you wear it? Like out on the street, around town type wear it. I would, just because.E-
Just got a Bluesy, (first Rolex!) and have a question: the center gold links are getting scratched up amazingly quickly and easily. Like, just looking at them gets them scratched up. My shirt cuff scratches them. My desk pad. The dust particles in the air scratch this bracelet. Of course, as I researched and stared at this watch for weeks, I never noticed this in pictures. This is not an OMG-I-got-a-scratch-what-should-I-do thread. My question is, do you care that the center links of the whole watch looks beat to hell? Should I care? Do you clean it up? Or is it simply character? And one more question: will the white gold Smurf show scratches the same way? Worse? Thanks y'all!
