Snorkeling in Hawaii
My son and I did a fair amount of snorkeling while in Hawaii:We were armed with tools of the trade. My Submariner 16610, and his Invicta 8926 (training Rolex):Here's some underwater shots taken with my Pentax Optio "point and shoot" that's water resistant to about 15 feet. Unfortunately, the screen isn't very legible underwater. So it's more "point and pray" when using it under water. That, and the fact that the fish don't really stop moving combine to create less than ideal photographing conditions. So many of these shots are a little blurry. These scenarios are about being realistic, and I can't see myself owning a watch that I would prefer to wear at the beach that would look better, but also that I would be happy to expose to water, salt, and possible abuse!! I have an Omega Planet Ocean on my list for next year, but I still think I'd wear the Seiko for a day of fun at the beach. They

5167 Bracelet Question
I have decided that the 5167 is the right Patek for me. I have been going back and forth between the 5167 and the 5711, but had never seen the 5711 in person. My local dealer called yesterday to tell me he had a 5711 that just came in and I could have it if it spoke to me. I went to see it and I am happy to say liked the dial on the 5167 better. I am glad I had this opportunity, it confirms my decision.The dealer has the 5167 in stock with the bracelet, and said that he would give me the rubber strap and deployment at no charge if I went with the bracelet version. My question is to those that have the 5167, have you ever wished you had the bracelet, is it worth the extra $3,000.
