Omega 105.012 - 64 wrist watches news:
Hello All! My 30 year old Airking is in for service at Rolex. Old dial is pretty worn, and they asked would I like to consider a different color dial or go with the same. Well that just opened up a whole keg of worms!!!I never thought of changing the look, but this is a unique opportunity.Had gray previously, so..........I am leaning towards blue with the arabics at 3, 6, 9. Or the Orange and Blue, otherwise know as the "AIR BEAR" !!(Same colors as the Chicago Bears NFL football team)Seriously, give me your thoughts and preferences and some ideas. This is going to be fun.Regards,PC
My kids were watching this ("Over The Hedge" : Hammy) as its pouring rain and satalite is out, maybe it should be my new avatar?
I received this watch over 20 years ago from a family member, and it's sat in a drawer for many years. Now, it has a new band and is being worn again. Now I'd like to get some info about it. Below is a picture of the watch. It's small and delicate compared to today's larger cased watches. The face has a diameter of just about 1.25" (31.75 mm) across, not including the band attachment points. It's has a scripted MT on the case back at the very top, along with 14k. There's nothing else on the back. The watch requires daily winding and the second sweep hand moves smoothly, not like a quartz mvmt and the tick-tick-tick (automatic movement?). Also, it appears that there are 2 or so small diamond chips set into each numeral location. What can you tell me about the watch? I'd like to know its date of manufacture, just so I can say, "This watch is XX years old, ain't I cool?" It's rhetorical, of course...Thanks for your help!
My perfect fit is in between two holes. On a cold day or inactive day I can just wear the gator strap on a particular hole. However, when it gets warmer its too tight. My question is, The strap is new, if I continue to wear it on the hole that is just right sometimes and too tight other times, is it likely to stretch a bit or should I just punch an in between hole? Clearwater offered to do it for me however, I no longer there and would have to source somewhere in Ontario to do it as I'd only do it if it were done right.ThanksEverett
I am just curious whats the overall consensus choosing between 233 vs 557. If you have to pick one whats your choice and why. Thanks for your responds and I appreciate the knowledge sharing and community. More power to TRF.
