Patek Philippe Cushion Perpetual made for Tiffany&Co. 5135G

Need Help on this PP
Hi,I am a brand new member of this forum and a longtime dreamer of owning a Patek Philippe. I am a collector myself and have owned many other brands but never a PP because it always seems to be out of reach. In the last few days, I have an opportunity to acquire a very old PP that will need repair. It is a 18K gold manual wind with a sub-second hand which is missing. The crystal is also gone. When I removes the back, I can see in the back the case number of 677xxx and another number, 2455 which I guess is a model number. The movement number is 12-400. I would appreciate if someone could help me with the following questions: 1. Is this model Calatrava? Does the number 2455 mean anything? 2. Do you recommend the repair to be carried out by PP authorized repair center? Is the repair cost substantially high since the second hand and a crystal are also needed? It also needs a new leather strap. 3. Since the owner of the watch would want to have several thousands of dollars to give up this p

Rolex vs AP - as a watch brand
As a watch brand where do you consider AP as compared to Rolex? Is it the same league? I hear some people say that they are different leagues while others consider it to be the same.

Today was a great day
So I had another thread on the AP RO. I was struggling with whether to buy the AP 15400. While I was trying on the vacheron overseas and debating the 15400, my wife asked...if you had the Daytona, nautilus or royal oak in front of you which would you buy? I replied the nautilus, but I’ll never get it cause of wait list. But would love the Daytona, but also long list. So whatever... Fast forward to days end. I just put down 20% down payment for a Daytona C black which I will get in 2 months. :). Can u say INCOMING!!!!Separatley, I’m on the Daytona C white list which is 1.5 years with maybe 5 people, nautilus 5711 while 1.5-2 years, and 5711 blue - I think that is 5 years. :).
