Rado R27060902 wrist watches news:
GuysHave you subject your watches to conditions of mechanical stress before and noticed any variation in their performance? My watches have accompanied me on my morning runs and while the AT and GMT have not been affected by the constant pounding on tarmac I discovered last spring that the Speedy Pro would gain 5 to 8 seconds per run. Alarmed at this though I suspected that the old Lemania-based movement may have its' limitations, I switched to using my Seiko beater for such strenuous activity. However a few months back I started to use the Speedy again and this time there was no change to its' performance. Indeed every time out and I have since increased both my pace and distance, the Speedy would now be unaffected by the swinging movement of limbs. I'm not complaining. Just wondering how this has come to be.Y'all have a nice day pals ZIN
Venturing into the 1960's with this undetermined automatic model. The case suggests the Dateline A-678, but I couldn't find the dial in any of the catalogs. But, a few of them are missing from the 60's. The bracelet looks nice, too, but doubtful it's original. I'll check it out and if I'm not crazy about it, it will be flipped.seller photo

In 1925 Gruen introduced a new design for a Mans watch movementThe Quadron a movement with 4 corners, as against the, then typical round movementMade at Gruens Precision workshop in SwiterlandSo accurate was this movement, this speaks for its self!Part of the advertising used by Gruen, taken from the Gruen Guild book 1929The Guild Book also, included several models of The Quadron, this is oneThis is The Quadron 21Introduced in 1929, the 21, was fitted with the 117 movement, which was the first of the Gruen's Quadron calibers. The watch was advertised up to 1933.The watch is in a 2 piece, Wadsworth, 14 karat gold filled reinforced case, with engraved sides.A yellow reinforced case revision was as also available, called the Quadron 65.The watch is fitted with a 17 jewel, 117 Precision movement. The 117 movement, was the first of a series of 3 calibers, the next being 119 introduced in 1928, and finally the 123 introduced in 1930Enjoy B
Hi Everyone- I need some advice regarding servicing of my father¡¯s vintage Speedmaster. I¡¯ve received a diagnostic test from Omega and they¡¯ve said that even with the full service the waterproofness of the piece cannot be guaranteed due to excessive wear of the case¡ That seems odd to me because new gaskets, seals, etc. will be put in (verified with the rep). Also, they will change my hands to luminova but will leave the original tritium dial. Has anyone heard of the waterproof issue? Is there anyone in the tri-state area that is trusted to service Omega watches to keep the piece vintage? If the chronograph didn't develop an issue I'd have never brought it in but unfortunately a service is needed one way or anotherThanks in advance!
