Seiko SNAF37 wrist watches news:
Hi folks, I'm new here. I used to collect pocket watches - my wife even sewed watch pockets in my pants so I could carry one, which I did as my only watch! I collected Hamiltons, because of the history, and because I'm a Pennsylvania boy myself.Well, along came two kids, and between one thing and another, I reduced my modest collection to a MUCH more modest collection (just 4 left!), and stopped carrying them, got a cheap quartz wristwatch, and essentially 'hibernated', horologically speaking, until about a year ago. At that point, I decided I wanted a high-quality, reliable mechanical wristwatch, so I went back to Hamiltons. I was lucky enough to score a Peyton (round face with 770 mvt) on Ebay, then a Nielsen (round with a 747), and finally a Chapman (rectangular 770). I decided that maybe I should start collecting WRIST watches instead of POCKET.I've patiently watched Ebay, but I soon realized that the ones I'd gotten were very lucky deals, and I'd wait a long time for anything
I just had to make the effort and go out of my way to the closest Patek AD, I was given the impression that the 5167 is much in demand with a waiting list but i could have the next one as it was unspoken for currently is this the case or just sales talk no more new UK deliveries though till the new year according to the Patek rep,I was given an invitation to a drink and nibbles though Patek apparently have got a roadshow touring the UK ADs so i could get to handle one realtime before he took my deposit:D.........and to ask what i not dare at another is there such a thing as a discount on a Patek.Has Patek a strong resale market too might as well get all the newbie questions out the way :-)regardssteve
The watch is an auto, kinda small supposed to be a man's watch.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349046863.251356.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1349046913.036125.jpg
Going with my Seiko Kinetic Sportura for Saturday. Have a great day guys,Shawn
COSC watches generally have the highest grade ETA movements and are a standard of quality - at least that's the presumption. We certainly can rest assured they've been throughly tested. But they also carry a hefty premium. Do you think it's worth it?
