I watched The Color of Money last night and when I saw Paul Newman, I remembered how he sported Rolexes in real life. Well, early on in the movie I noticed he was wearing a watch with a Jubilee bracelet and wondered if it might be a DJ. Looking for a Specific Style of Watch
Hey guys,I've been trying to find a watch like the one in this image for a while, now.This one was featured in the movie 1408 and it looks like it was specifically made for the movie. It's a Kahuna watch, but looking on their website, there's nothing similar enough and I e-mailed them about it never to get a reply.It's more of the look I'm after, than anything.- All-round thick, dark leather cuff strap. Preferably plain, without any studs etc. (Some straps look similar, but taper off into thinner straps)- Black analogue display with silver/metallic casing. Again, as plain and simple as possible.The picture I posted is a pretty good indicator of what I'm looking for. It's not necessarily fancy. In fact the plainer it is, the better. It is possible to buy from a movie prop site, but it's only available as part of the character's full attire, and costs $1,500 or so, which is a bit much for me.I've looked all over eBay and various other sites, but to no avail.I'd be grateful if anyone coul

Hi All, Ok so the laugh is on me. I posted my final 3, with tribute to Jorge and others who have consolidated their collections. All 3 are gone!I then posted my final 4, all PP, but still some versatility and colour (blue!) was missing. So I present to you, with the arrival of my PP blue, my revised 3 for your review and comments. Trying to decide on a new PAM317, 335 or a 438?
Looking for advise on my first Panerai. This will not be a daily wearer and I do like to change my bands on my other watches. I currently own a breitling blackbird and a Bell & Ross BR02. My B&R is my daily driver but want something a little more unique and dresser for evenings out with wife and friends. My initial thinking is to get the PAM438 to get the ceramic bracelet and add some leather bands but I can't help but like the PAM317 and 335 for there power reserves. The 317K is really cool as well with the PVD coated internal parts. My concerns are they are all relatively similar in price but the 438 since it's newer seems to be the least discounted on the resale market. Also, I would like to buy something I won't see often since my others are more common place and I want it to hold its value as well as possible. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
