Glashutte Original Senator Panorama Date Watch
It certainly isn't anything revolutionary, but for 2013 one of the new Glashutte Original watches will be this attractive Senator Panorama Date. A simplified version of the Senator with a basic three-hand movement and big date indicator as part of the Glashutte Original GO 100-03 automatic movement. There is an 18k red gold version on a strap which is nice, but what I like a lot more is the steel version with the bracelet. That straight-forward German styling with the large blued-hands make for a fantastic dress watch. Size is 40mm wide which should satisfy the formal/classic watch segment. While the movement does have a gold automatic rotor, I am hoping that the steel version is priced in the $7,000 range that is both reasonable for the brand and should attract enough attention from newcomers to Glashutte Original. AP ROC 25860 Conversion?
Question for ROC owners out there. I've finally got my 25860 back and love it. How do you like your ROC 25860/26300 on a bracelet vs strap? I've contacted AP and they officially don't support conversion of my model, but obviously AP Bands does. There are great looking brown and black leather bands with white stitching I'm tempted by. They have rubber ones also but with the crappy WR rating this isn't really a sports watch. Thanks for any advice!

Aqua Terra Crown is NOT FEELING RIGHT
Have had 0 problems with this watch until today. 2503.33.00 w/ 2500 movement.I set the time, because the watch had stopped, I had been wearing other things.. when I unscrewed it and it went from position 0 to 1, (screwed in to winding) there was some resistance at the very end, and a little pop. Tried it several more times. right before it changes to winding position I need to apply pressure (nothing crazy but it doesn't just slide into it like normal) and there is the pop. NOT ONLY THAT, after doing that 5 times to make sure I am not crazy, NOW, when I screw it in from winding position to the screwed in position, there is some CONSIDERABLE resistance and it feels like there is some metal on metal. I feel the metal vibrating in the crown somewhere and it is NOT smooth to screw in.. I get some 'grinding-like' feedback. No clue what any of this is or what any of it means. Can anyone chime in?

5196..too big
Had a chance to try on a 5196 at boutique today.Case was flat with lugs not adapting to wrist well..leaving gaps wide opened. Looks and feels like a 40mm watch..which is dreadful for a dress watch.Dial lacks contrast and very difficult to read. Too much empty spaces on dial as well.Really wanna love this but gotta past. :(Ymmv

Rose Gold Two Tone conundrum
Turning 60 in the fall and planning on semi retiring my 40 year old SS DJ. It is currently in for service, and will keep it around for doing the real risky stuff. Narrowed it down to the DJ41 with fluted bezel and Jubilee, or the YM40. Both in RG Two Tone and Chocolate Dial70:30 in favour of the YM with a minor concern that it may look goofy. I have no idea what size my wrist is and I have sailed all my life. Having worn a SS DJ 36 all my adult life this is a big departure. Any thoughts?Larry
