Breitling A1337011/C757-ocean-racer-blue-folding wrist watches news:
Regular readers of mine know that I get a kick out of spotting watches in TV shows and movies. A regular viewer of Lost, I have always been curious to know what watch was being worn by Matthew Fox's character Jack Shephard. Of course, while on the island he does not wear a watch, but back in civilization in Los Angeles, he is always seen the watch watch. The show producers are loathe to give the watch much camera time. In fact, the only watch that was given attention was the Rolex Daytona that Jin was carrying as a business gift in season 1. But I digress. A few episodes ago (in the final season, maybe episode 3 or so) I was caught off guard as the camera gives Jack's wrist a closeup as he checks the time. Why the chronograph was running in the shot I don't know, but that glimpse was enough for me to spot the brand - Porsche Design.I still didn't know what model it was though. Searching online I couldn't find images of it, nor did I know the name of the piece. Though it was clear that
The PAM359 inside is Panerai internal made P.9000 automatic movement with a day 3 power reserve, seconds counter subsidiary and the date. Having an internal movement naturally increases the opportunity to exhibit to collectors. For me, placing all the numbers on the dial actually makes it easier to read and plays with the look Panerai in a good way. The price is around $ 7,500. Finally after waiting around 17 weeks for my AD to change the dial on my datejust I am getting it back one of the next 2-3 days. But without the dial because it did not fitAnd I asked him 17 weeks ago if it would fit he checked it and said yes it will fit. Something it did not doI am glad I am getting my datejust back but the service from my AD is probably the worst service I have ever gotten from anyone buying anything. The people working there is polite enough but all the time I had to wait for nothing is just not acceptable. At least not in my opinion. So do anyone know any safe place I can buy dials for a datejust 1982 model? Also hands too.
I was looking at the Classisima Baume and Mercier watch and I really like the fine/classic/formal look to it and for the "about the same" price I saw a Maurice Lacroix watch that is almost as good looking, however, this one was "see trhough" skeleton style......which one would you go with? Price being about the same, which brand, service, etc...?Many thanks (first post in here in WT)
