Audemars Piguet has released a new take on one of its most popular model, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. The latest iteration follows the release of the last QP wristwatch in 2012 with an upgraded and upsized movement, a slightly more complicated display, clearer dial, and larger case size. All details below. 1 OF 6 The Reference 26574.1220 comes in four different versions, two in stainless steel and two in rose gold with either a navy blue or silvered "Grande Tapisserie" dial. Due to the enlarged case size (now 41mm up from 39mm), the dial and its indications are more legible. Dear respected fellow forum members I'm closing out my full time working career in May. Of course its only fitting I acquire a retirement piece. Doesn't have to be brand new as I plan to continue indulging myself horologically. Budget is around 8-10K. Swapped out the aftermarket dial on my 16013. Love the outcome!
I never had experience with aftermarket dials. I ended up purchasing a Rolex with an aftermarket mother of pearl dial which i personally actually liked. After receiving feedback from a few forums and noticing that the aftermarket dial actually slightly covered the date numbers through the date window, i decided to swap out the face with an authentic Rolex dial. I couldn't be happier with the outcome
