Patek Philippe 5130P wrist watches news:
A watch like this upcoming Guer Man Trace is easy to make fun of. I mean it is pretty interesting look, and I see all of the artistic merit - I am sure I would even wear one. But instead of us feeling all wowed by its novelty, we are going to be compelled to laugh about it. It does come in a log watch box after all. This little concept brings me back to the early 1990s when one of my favorite cartoons of all time was on, Ren & Stimpy. Of the most iconic elements of the adultish cartoon show was their in-show advertisements of absurd hypothetical products. Do you remember "Log." The piece of wonder wood could do it all. It's Logit is big, it is heavy, it is wood. Log for boys and girls, it is better than bad, it is good. These are some lines from the jingle, can you hear me saying it out loud in a satirical serious manner as I am sure the Guer Man marketing people might. Hear it via YouTube below. The actual commercial is not on there due to copyright reasons I am sure. So what was
Got some high res pics of a local PO for sale and was checking them out,The 4o-clock and 7o-clock marker (to a lesser extent) look a little weird, thicker bars on one side.. Is this fairly normal? Or am I being waay to nit-picky If this is fairly standard.. I may have to go buy it overall shot of it, harder to notice farther back.. but still noticeable.
Ok guys.. Need your help here.. I've always admired Panerai's in pictures or on other peoples wrists. The large, rugged designs are great. As a 'large watch' guy, there's very little that doesn't suit me with Panerai. It's an obvious no-brainer for me to add to my collection...BUT - every time I try one on I seem to be left with something still missing. I can't seem to get the "WOW!! This is a great watch!" reaction when I strap one on. I seem to just be left wanting something, and I can't put my finger on what that something is...Anyone else have this problem when they were just getting into Panerai? I really want to like it on the wrist, so I'm looking for anything to help I'm even considering getting a Marina or other homage brand to see if maybe it's just a matter of wearing the design for awhile Come on all.. Give me your thoughts & opinions.. What really make Panerai be the WOW! watch to you?
I was at the big Macy's in NY today just to check out the watches and the Hamilton JazzMaster Viewmatic caught my eye. I've always really liked the basic Tissot Le Locle (although recently I've been thinking I want to spring for the Power Reserve version), but the Viewmatic has a similar look at a similar price. Here's the Le Locle in black:And here's the Viewmatic in black:(pics from stores on the Web)The Viewmatic is significantly smaller than the Le Locle and obviously uses Arabic numerals rather than Roman numerals, but other than the visual stuff, what's the general opinion on the difference in quality? Does anyone have experience with both watches?
Hi,I'm looking for new watch. I want to buy one from these:1. Tissot PRC 200. timeway.eu/images/Tissot-...-T17158652.jpg2. Swatch Automatic Chronograph. Black version. ablogtoread/wp-content/up...ight-Track.jpgCan anyone tell me, which one is better? Or, maybe, there is a better choice for the same price?Waiting for advice. Thanks.
