This is the third rolex I have owned (the other two being a no date sub and SD which I have since let go). I never thought I would get another rolex yet alone a DJ since I have tried to focus my collecting on JLC alone. BUT on a recent trip to a popular watch store in NYC the manager, who I have become good friends with, suggested I try on a DJ (116200) just for ¡®fun¡¯, as he put it. I was pleasantly surprised by the watch and I left the store with that tingling feeling and could not stop thinking about it for a few hours (well a few days), but fortunately a week later a mint 116200 was listed on another forum for a steal and needless to say, I jumped on it! My initial impressions are very positive. I love the size being a fan of <40mm watches. The dial is tasteful and easy to read. The main reason though I jumped on it was that I needed a watch with a bracelet for the summer since all my watches have straps and as everyone knows straps and humidity aren¡¯t a great mixture. Saxonia Thin or comparable model?
HiTook the plunge 3 years ago with an IWC Portuguese Auto 7 Day Power Reserve and love the classic style and clear back. Now looking at the Lange and Sohne Saxonia Thin in gold. What are peoples views on this model for long term investment or can anyone suggest something similar which will take my breath away as well?

Nautilus
First time trying on a Nautilus and...wow!I must say, I now understand the love this model gets from the watch community. Great time to be a Panerai fan!
If you truly like the Panerai brand, and don't just follow trends like a sheep, now is the best time in the last 15 years to be a Panerai fan!The choices are amazing, the prices are reasonable, and the watches are actually obtainable.Up until recently, the average collector could not get the SE or hot watches without spending waaaay over retail. Now, the brand is making more pieces with historic ties and most can be had at a discount. For someone like me who has been following the brand for over 15 years...this is a great time.The history, look, and the DNA of the brand has not changed. I guess I'm just glad that some of the hype has passed....now I can buy some of the watches that I have wanted for many years because they are actually affordable again!That's all...just wanted to say that. Enjoy your day.Now I just need to wait for the vintage Rolex bubble to burst!
