OK, here is the scenario, one of my co-workers came into my office looking to sell this watch because he's had it for a while and never wears it, and because it does not look good on him he wants to get rid of it i know TISSOT makes a PR50 but i have never seen this version of it, and when i told him that he's reply was "i really dont want it so just give me $30.00 bucks and i will bring you the box on Monday" i told him $20.00 because i think its a fake and he said OK so now i have this watch looks nice, feels, real, everything works on it but the curiosity of knowing if i bought a TISSOT for $20.00 bucks and it being authenthic is too good to be true so i seek the assistance of my fellow WTF members to see if i came up on a great deal or notthe model on the back reads J178/278here are some pics
I'm fairly confident I want to flip my Daytona for a RO. The only problem is...which one?Also, I cannot find a 15300, or even a 15202 for a 39mm size, to try on anywhere in Dallas! Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? I go to Houston every now and then, so I'd be okay with any suggestions there.I think I'm more of a fan of the dial on the 15400 and colored date wheel, but I still want to see the 15300.My wrist can really support any of them, but I'd love to get opinions of the Forum. Below are wrist shots of the 15400, 15450, and a shot of the daytona and how it looks on my arm. The 15450 isn't under consideration, but it offers some perspective.
When it first came out, I thought the Moonphase complication, which has always fascinated me (I bought a Seiko Moonphase in the late 80s. It set me back over $200, which was an absolute fortune to me at the time. I still have it) but I thought the Rolex iteration was odd and difficult to read.I searched for guides on how to read it (I had a mental block because it seems so simple now) and finally found what I was looking for...on Rolex ¡ª the damned user guide they offer as a PDF download! I now absolutely love the watch. I¡¯ve moved on to appreciating the ¡®luxe¡¯ design of the hands, for example (I have Rolex sports models, the BLNR and two YMs, one almost 20 years old, the other almost new).Was curious is anyone else had gained appreciation for this stunning watch. I'm thinking of part exchanging a Tudor Fastrider black shield (leather strap) 42000CN, Tudor Blackbay Black (leather strap ETA version) 79220N, a 116622 blue dial and ¡ê5500 cash for a Daytona 116509 grey arabic dial (Rolex serviced Oct 2017)All watches have B&P.Fellow members, should I do it?
