SINN - Junk like MZI?????
Guys, this is bugging the heck out of me. Yesterday I had the good fortune to visit a watch store owned by a real watchmaker who had a very in depth knowledge of the business (25 years including as a Rolex AD) and was obviously keen on most things horological. He echoed what a lot of people have posted here (e.g. Tissot is a great/underrated swiss watch for one). But when I mentioned I've grown very fond of Sinn watches, he laughed and said the Germans have been rather naughty with their 'ordinary' movements rebranded or hyped up with dodgy websites and overinflated prices, a la MZI. In other words, don't waste your money.I can't believe this - everything I've heard about Sinn so far has been glowingly positive. All reports so far (thanks Scotw44) are that they are top notch watches.Did he drop the ball with this call, or are we suckers to another MZI joke?Please restore my faith in what I thought was a top quality brand.confusedly yours,Muttley

5711 date not align
I have a blue patek 5711 bought new last july 2012, i notice the date occasionally get misaligned but a gentle tap on the side of the watch fix the issue. I would like to know if this is a major issue that i have to have it fix immidiately or wait few more months before the warranty expire.

New shoes for my 5167
So my 5167 came on bracelet and I decided to order a rubber strap and deployant from HSWA. It took some fiddling, but I got is sized perfectly and left room for wrist expansion in warm weather. As mentioned in several prior threads, this watch on rubber is almost weightless and very comfortable. So now I feel like I have two Pateks in one. Pictures aren't great, but you get the idea.
