I noticed a number of Oris watches actually have movements which are designed by Oris. Although they are based on ETA designs, I'm guessing that they are sufficiently different to be classified as Oris design (?).Anyway, my question is whether there is any value or significance of having a watch with an Oris designed movement? Is this something that people in this forum actually look at when deciding between Oris watches.
I have been swamped with work and haven't been on the forum as much lately, but thought I'd share an incoming that I'm totally excited about. I've been missing a sports watch since letting go of my SD4K and 16610LV Kermit, and so have started to look for something I can wear with minimal worries. I debated on picking up a no date SubC or maybe the new Black Bay Black, but then came across this SM 300M Master Co-Axial. Completely fell in love with the vintage styling and paired with the very nicely finished Co-Axial 8400 movement. Fits well on the wrist and even comes with a bracelet adjustment that is comparable to Glidelock (I've been spoiled by glidelock and I don't think I can ever own another bracelet watch without an adjustment function). Overall I was really impressed and couldn't resist bringing it home. This is actually my first Omega as well and couldn't be happy I picked this. Has anyone noticed on the Patek Philippe website, that the Museum Preview volumes are available for download in PDF without purchase? Yesterday I was at an AD and the manager showed us a copy and I was just now searching and came across the downloads for them. Very cool stuff.
I've seen reference in some posts here to the Patek Magazine, and was looking for more information. It sounds like this is something available to Patek owners, but I was wondering how one goes about receiving it. I bought my watch earlier this year from an authorized Patek dealer. Thanks all!
