TAG Heuer CAV518E.FT6016 wrist watches news:
Has anyone ever got so close to buying a PAM and turned-tail at the last minute?I have more than once. I have several Omega's with the Olympic Seamaster on its way and I just put a layaway deposit down at my AD on a GMT IIc to add to my SD and LV so that leaves a PAM.Love the pictures but never tried one on (not a big problem...I've bought before without trying).I've done all the "research", talked to PAM owners, spoke to AD's in other provinces since we don't have one in our city etc....and when it comes time to slap down the credit card my "spider sense" kicks in and I bail.Is it because PAM may be considered a fad (no intention of offending here) or because of limited AD's and service issues, lack of discounting because the brand is so hot (stock market was hot, price of crude oil was hot, dot-com's were hot....bubbles burst on those). I just don't know!!!Any Rolex/Omega shrinks out there that can share on this experience??
I've been watching a lot of old Seinfelds (love the shows). Anyway Jerry is wearing a black faced chron type watch with a timex looking band. Is that a Relee?
While I've wanted the Snoopy and Alaska Project Speedmasters for longer than I can remember, one look at the Apollo 11 35th Anniversary Speedy drove me nuts and before you know it, I was busy talking to Henry (who has been awesome). I should hopefully have the watch by the end of the week if all goes to plan. Needless to say, I cannot wait! Copper
Looking at a preowned GMT II 16710 and not sure if its all original. Its a U serial, so 1997/1998 as I understand. But the dial is Swiss Made which I think was only 2000+.Is this a replacement dial? What sort of impact on value for this?
So I finally pulled the trigger on the 5 digit sub. I had the SubC for a short time which did fit my 15 cm wrist, I just felt the maxi case took up a lot of real estate on me. That and the ceramic bezel was too flashy for my taste.I picked this guy up from a forum favorite dealer. It came with bracelet as well, however the only way I would get it to fit would be to remove a permanent link, which I don't want to do at this point. It would in essence destroy the link. So far I've been wearing it on NATO, Perlon, & leather straps. Not sure if anyone knows any other tricks to make the bracelet fit without link destruction?
