Audemars Piguet began in 1875 when Jules Audemars, then 23, and Edward-August Piguet, 21, met in the Valle de Jous looking for jobs in the local watchmaking industry. Greetings,I'm new to posting on WTF. Have a couple of Omegas, a 16030 bought new in 1987, and some odds an ends.I've been looking at new and used 114270's as a possible daily wear watch but don't feel as though I know too much about years and variations of the different series. I've seen a poster describe a D series as one of the "RRR" rehaut models but haven't seen a photo that shows how that looks. And if I am not mistaken, the newest model Explorer has the laser etched logo at 6 O'clock on the crystal but nothing else.What changes should I be aware of as I consider the different series of the 114270?thx,Brad
I can't quite put my finger on why, but I have nothing against quartz watches and I like a small seconds complication, but can't warm up to a quartz with small seconds (unless it's a chronograph). I guess in my mind a small seconds subdial is equated with classic design, while quartz isn't at all. Am I alone in this?
I know it's probably wrong for even suggesting this, but I'm curious if a Speedmaster bracelet will fit a Seamaster 2220.80?Can someone please chime in and provide feedback and/or pictures?Thanks in advance!

Hey guys!I've always been a Rolex owner (16610 and 116710), but recently I'd been looking for a PAM292. I tried one on at an AD not long ago, and suddenly my interest sparked in Panerai. I didn't get into the Luminor though, and so Radiomir it was!However, after not managing to find the right one at the right price here in Egypt, I took a little time to think. During that time I did some more research and, after seeing a lot of photos of broken/chipped ceramic watches and learning a little more about the tool origins of a Panerai, I decided a steel watch would be better.After all, it is a tool watch and is supposed to be able to take a beating. I decided to look for a PAM183 instead and, not long after, I found one!It's a second-hand O series in great shape, and I was able to directly trade my 2003 Y series steel Submariner for it.Here it is, but more photos later when I get home and pull out the macro lens!What do you think?
