Gonna run it through the spa but it is running well. Serial 5479XXX, model 5500. The end links are stamped 60...anyone know what year that makes the bracelet date to? I don't think it is original to this watch. It has rivets...Crystal looks good and case just needs a polish. Figured with the Explorer gone I needed to fill a void quickly..lol
I'm wrapping up an awesome spring break in Arizona and for the first time traveling took my ROC on its bracelet. At home, I've found it great for everyday wear but during my travels, I have run into wrist swelling problems. And of course with no micro-adjusting clasp, there were times I just couldn't wear it. I don't know all of the physiology, but am guessing the frequent changes in altitude and hydration make your wrist change in size frequently.I don't really want to bring a watch kit (screwdrivers, extra links, etc) when I travel. So in the future, I'm wondering if this is a time to put it on a strap or go with another watch altogether. The low WR rating is also a reason it may not be an ideal single travel watch. I love my ROC, but it doesn't do me any good in its travel box. I know there are a lot of frequent travelers on TRF so was wondering what others do in this situation. I currently own a LE QoS PO. I initially intended to flip it tomorrow for a PAM 111. Today a shipment arrived and it was 3 nato straps and a carbon fiber leather strap, all which I ordered a while ago. They're 20mm and won't do any good on the PO, nor on the Panerai.I've also recently been playing with the thought of getting a SMP, a smaller watch for daily wear, which I can play with along with the natos and straps.1.jpgThe thing is I can't afford all the above. I can either flip the PO for the PAM or keep the PO and get a Quartz, black SMP.2.jpgWhat do you guys think I should do? Oh and I know this sounds lame but if the rumours are true and the next 007 would have a Rolex, would my QoS PO be any more valuable, since it's that last Bond watch?
Recently, as per a thread that I started in the other Watch Topic section. I was thinking of getting a Rolex DD. To do that I would have to trade one of my Pateks -5127R or 5167A.Well, after a lot of thought and reading what other members said, I decided NOT to go with that idea.But then I happen to see Jorge's photo of his stunning 5146P and I was in horology love:banged:And the thought of getting one - ultimate PM marked by a diamond at 6 o'clock got me excited.As I would have to sell/trade + cash both of mine.What do others members think?Bad idea or not?Please feel free to include photos, just to help
