Important vintage wristwatches are well represented in this sale, and the notable models include a Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 fourth series, circa 1981, estimated at between $280,000 and $350,000.One of the highlights of the evening will be rare and historically significant gold, enamel and diamond presentation pocket watch with matching chain and fob symbolizing the Royal Military Order of Saint George, most probably made for King Ludwig II of Bavaria circa 1880. This piece is estimated at between $27,000 and $44,000.
In full conformity with the watch design are rhodium-plated, diamond-cut hands displayed on the black matt dial - they are reminiscent of tentacles of an octopus. The hands are treated with Superluminova. Just as well, the display includes Arabic numerals and applied rhodium-plated indexes, also highlighted with Superluminova, which makes the dial visible even in extreme low-light situations. Protecting the remarkable dial is a 3.8mm glareproofed sapphire crystal.The Concord Oktopus Tattoo watch is teamed with a black alligator leather strap distinguished by red stitching. The strap is finished with a steel ardillon buckle.

I am thinking about adding AP Navy, does anyone has a pictures, wrist shots? I really like the blue strap/white dial/blue subdials combo, nice watch to wear with jeans.What is overall view on AP Navy, seems to me its not that popular from theme editions. Thanks guy for all the advice, settled on the new sapphire sandwich! The legibility of the registers is INSANE. Compared to my other chronos, nothing is too shiny or covered. This is the perfect tool watch.The manual also describes a technique to hack the 1863, which I tried and succeeded, so the only caveat I had when buying this watch is now covered!Immediately took it off the bracelet, then realized the Velcro is too long, and the Nato too chromey, so now it sits on my old Maratec nato, I love it! I'm so satisfied with this watch that hopefully it ends my hunt for a Speedmaster and becomes my first and only Omega.If any one wants the included 2 straps, PM me with offer.
