If it stays with me, my first Omega...Hello all,Some time ago I did a post regarding a project I had done for my boss (Link). In that post I mentioned an Omega that he had given as well. The Omega required a bit more work and has gone back to the watchmaker a couple of times, but I think we are now in pretty good shape.Here is where we started - as best I can tell, this is a OT 14393 from 1960 or so. I did some poking around on the Omega website researching this and I am pretty sure that is the model we are looking at.As you can tell, it came on a 3rd party bracelet and was in pretty bad shape. The dial had already been (poorly) redone - they were a little sloppy in placement and with the amount of adhesive they used.One of the screws had lodged itself in the mechanism as well.Here is a better shot of the dial. Hey all,I'm on a vintage watch kick lately but have found that most (all?) of the American vintage watches I find are tiny. They're beautiful...but tiny.I'm a big guy - 6'4", 270lbs. Tiny watches just don't cut it for me. I'm wondering if there are some vintage watches that you have run across that run large? And by large I would say No Smaller than 38mm and preferably 40mm or more.The styling on some of these American vintage watches is downright amazing. I'd be a very happy man if I found one that was both amazingly beautiful and large enough for me to wear.Any guidance would be enabling a fairly new watch fanatic to further his collection!Thx,Chad

Hey all, haven't been around the block lately but with all this Basel news, I'm genuinely curious; has there been a case redesign?? I've been staring at the new Deep Sea's stock picture and the old one's for about a half hour now trying to discern this mythical change!I am very bitter about the blocky lugs and have nearly sworn off modern Rolex for that reason alone. If this is a return, I am beyond excited but I'm not seeing it.Anyways, I really need to update the signature; I've made some changes to the ol' collection recently!
