Hi everyone,At work this morning one of the guys i work with approached me with a watch he no longer wanted as he had bought himself a new one. This old watch of his was a skeleton watch on a leather strap that looked a bit scruffy and he wanted ¡ê10 for it. He offered it to me and my boss and neither of us wanted it, so he just passed it me and said " here you go, its yours for nothing" and walked away.I looked closer at it under a magnifying glass and it was a Rotary Automatic on its original strap, I took the strap off and scrubbed it with soft soap and rubbed some moisturiser cream into it and came up lovely. I went to find my work mate to buy it off him at a fair price and he refused saying "buy me a bar of chocolate" and he refuses to take any money off me for it as he says he is having a big clear out at home.I did a Google search for it when i got home and i found a 'new old stock' one for sale identical to this one from 1990 and it turns out it is gold plated and has a blue ca
I inherited this older Patek from my father, who loved high-end watches and had quite a few. In going through his saved papers, I haven't been able to find any paperwork associated with this watch, but I seem to remember him telling me about it in the late-'80s (if it's the same one). It's 18kt, hand-wind, the dial is porcelain, it's totally original (including the PP strap and 18kt buckle, and the red leather presentation box), and it runs beautifully as well as looking very good.Can anyone shed any light on what model it might be, its approximate date of manufacture, and (if you're feeling brave), what its value might be, for insurance purposes?Thanks!patek.jpg
I had a chance to play with the TT DIVERS CHRONO at the AD last week.. I m really impressed of the quality ( and the price is really vanilla delisicous ) .. does anybody had any opinion or experience on this model ? forgive me if there's already a review about this but i really would like to confirm my opinion on this.. Having my first lazy day at home in I don't know how long, so I took the opportunity to take some iphone pics of my Zenith. I still really love this watch, but haven't worn it a lot lately as my current work conditions have been a bit rough for it. Wore it out last night though and kept glancing at my wrist!!
