I last bought a watch about eleven years ago. It's a nice enough quartz watch, but not something that would impress any watch person. Its bracelet finally started to fall apart this spring. Wondering about what to do about it, I figured maybe I'm entitled to a watch every decade or so. I walked into a jeweler's and asked to see what's available. There were a couple of watches there that I thought were rather nice. They were German, from Glash¨¹tte Original. The designs didn't immediately click, though I thought the numbers were a bit unnecessarily cute, for example and I felt the price was a bit extravagant too, so I walked out again, feeling pretty cheerful and liking the idea of German watches. I like German mechanical engineering and German design in general; it's matter of fact, functional, and well made. Like the title says, what is it. I have heard the term thrown around..
I brought my 312 in to the local boutique for service and they suggested that I try on the 572 and the 573. Well, I just fell in love with the 573, but the price tag is So I'm now thinking about the 572, but the face is so similar to my 312, as with all other Panerai models.Has anyone purchased a 572 that can give some comments? On a side note, I think I'd want to let go of the 312 if I get a 572. It seems like the ones listed here haven't really been moving?
