I've been trying to see the rolex etching that is present on the crystal at the 6 o'clock position of newer Rolex watches. I used a red laser pointer, in a darkened room, and pointed it from the side of the crystal. Lo and behold, the Rolex logo just jumps out!! What is very difficult to see, or I would say impossible to see under regular conditions, becomes easily visible.Since I'm new to the forum, is this something you guys knew, or should I pat myself on the back??Saul
I just got back from Europe and although i did not take pictures of watches, I did have many occasions to see plenty.I think I saw more styles from many of the companies we know about. Some styles I've never seen before from the most prominent of makers.The Big watch trend? It's alive and well, so you will be seeing more. I was salivating over so many, but I'd have to be a Multi-Millionaire to afford all the ones I wanted. I saw so many it was like being to a watch trade show.Sorry no pics guys, it would have been hopeless.BTW: All prices were in Euros and did not seem to be outlandish or more costly than available here in states.
Coming to the end of the year again. Have not been posting much, but I do check in. Can't say I've bought anything as I am kinda satisfied with where I am with watches right now. How often do you members think the Speedmaster needs to be repaired? Mine is about 9 years old and running 3 minutes slow a week. It is the yellow Schumacher version. Also, where is a good place to get it repaired in the Midwest? Milwaukee, Chicago area?
