Picked this up on the swamp for $26 or thereabouts I think ....it doesn't run, but I am hoping that Jerry can correct that ! ......I think it looks very clean .....but when's it from? and does this one have a name ? the case is dirty, and the crystal is pretty scratched, but perhaps it might buff out ....sigh ...photobucket is acting up again ......was gonna show you dial and movement ....but eh, will do it later....

I was at a dealer this weekend who insisted that Panerai had NEVER used rhodium plating for their white gold watches. He might be right, but I thought they originally used rhodium plating, and later went to a palladium alloy. My memory was that their service centers even warned you that they would not refinish their rhodium plated watches. Cant find anything on a Google search, anyone have any details on this? I'm guessing the change was some time ago, more than 5 years. thanks, mark
